Algarve Pro Racing are looking forward to demonstrating their pace once again and converting that into a positive result this coming weekend (12-14 May, 2017) as the European Le Mans Series reconvenes for the second round of the championship in Italy.
The Portuguese-based team looked set for a certain podium last time out at Silverstone, only for a gearbox failure to eliminate them from the race at half distance.
At Monza, the trio of Matthew McMurry, Andrea Pizzitola and Andrea Roda team up once again in what is the final round of the series ahead of 24 Hours of Le Mans. With a new Hewland gearbox now in place, the team are confident that they can deliver a strong result in Italy and work their way back into the championship hunt.

That makes it very difficult for us but we’re not going to give up.
“We’re going to Monza seeking a podium again and hoping that we don’t have further manufacturing problems. We have the pace; the drivers are doing a great job, so we’ll be fighting hard to get a result.”
The race weekend gets underway with Friday practice and then qualifying on Saturday. The 4H of Monza starts at 13.30 CET.
