Algarve Pro Racing has confirmed its entry into the Asian Le Mans Series, which will see the Portuguese squad field its Ligier JS P2 Nissan in the new-look championship.
Michael Munemann, James Winslow and Dean Koutsoumidis have been named drivers of the LMP2 effort, which will begin with the second race of the season at Sepang on Nov. 6-8.
The team will miss the opening round at Fuji due to its European Le Mans Series commitments.
Australia-based Winslow makes his return to the series after finishing runner-up in the inaugural championship in 2013 with KCMG, while being reunited with 2014 Le Mans co-driver Munemann. “I’m super excited to be driving back in the Asian Le Mans Series this season, for many reasons,” Winslow said. “I’ll be driving alongside two great guys and good friends.”
The team will take part in tests at Estoril and Motorland Aragon later this month in preparation for its Asian effort.
